Panels built for your airplane. Not a template.
We design, CNC-cut, coat and engrave instrument panels around your exact avionics — for owners planning an upgrade and for shops that need a panel done right the first time.
Three ways to get your panel
-
Design it yourself
For builders and owners who like to plan. Lay out your panel to scale in Hangar Flying's online Panel Designer and send it straight to us to build.
-
Panel only
For owners and avionics shops. Send your equipment list and measurements. We design the layout, you approve it, and we deliver a finished panel ready to install.
-
Complete upgrade
Bring the airplane to Weyers Cave. We take the whole panel project from start to finish, so you fly away behind a clean, modern cockpit.
Design it online with Hangar Flying. We'll build it.
-
1. Design
Lay out your panel to scale in the Hangar Flying Panel Designer, using real equipment dimensions for your aircraft.
-
2. Submit
Send the request from the designer's menu with your aircraft details and the services you need.
-
3. Get a quote
We review your layout and send pricing for the panel work. Avionics equipment isn't included.
-
4. Approve
Accept, ask for changes, or decline from your Hangar Flying request page. No obligation.
-
5. We build it
We draw the CAD file, then cut, coat and engrave your panel in-house and keep you posted along the way.
Everything in-house
-

CAD Drawing
Your layout becomes a precise technical drawing, measured to your equipment, before any metal is cut.
-

CNC Cutting
Every cutout is machined to the exact dimensions of your avionics, so instruments seat flush and the panel stays rigid.
-

Coating
Pick the color and finish, from classic grays to something unmistakably yours, in a durable coating made for the cockpit.
-

Engraving
Legends, placards and logos engraved permanently into the panel. Crisp, readable, and no stickers or label tape.
From photo to finished panel
-
1. Tell us about your airplane
Make, model and year, photos of your current panel, and the avionics you plan to install. Or send us a Hangar Flying design.
-
2. Approve the layout
We draw the panel around your equipment and how you fly. Nothing is cut until you sign off.
-
3. We cut, coat & engrave
Machined, finished and labeled in-house at our shop in Weyers Cave, Virginia.
-
4. Install or ship
We complete the upgrade here, or deliver a ready-to-install panel to you or your shop.
